On Saturday past 41 cyclists from the football and camogie completed the mammoth task of cycling from Pairc na Gael to Letterkenny to raise funds for the clubs. They left shortly after 8am in good spirit and this good spirit generally continued along the way until the last group crossed the line around 530pm. Well done to all involved who completed the cycle and to all who sponsored. A word of thanks must also go to the car and van driver and their assistances, who ensured all arrived safely along the way and to those who assisted medically, Martin Rocks and Cyclogly Bicycle Shop for their expertise along the way, Gary McParland for taking the cycles home again and Classic Mineral Water, Mullans Spar & Brendan Oliver who supplied the refreshments and the ladies who served and prepared the refreshments along the way at the various spots. A special word of praise must also go to Feena Hughes, Paula McGuigan, John Grugan & Liam Gribben who were the driving force behind the fundraiser and organising the event through out.
