Carrickcruppen 2-08 Ballymacnab 0-11
Two goals for Carrickcruppen proved to be the difference in our Reserves League game on Wednesday with the home side edging victory, 2-08 to 0-11. Ballymacnab started well through points from Conor Murdoch and Paul Kennedy before 'cruppen opened their account with a point and followed up with a goal from the penalty spot. Ballymacnab did soon restored the lead with points from Brian McClelland and Rory Gray (2). Only a point separated the sides at the break in favour of Carrickcruppen with points from Conor Murdoch and Cormac Gribben keeping their side in touch. A pointed free from Gary McKee at the beginning of the second half levelled matters before 'cruppen hit Ballymacnab on the break and found the net for the second time. Gary McKee exchanged points with the opposition attack and points from Neil Gribben and Darran Lynch reduced the deficit but the home side held on to record the win. Although disappointed with the result there were solid performances throughout the defence, midfielders Gary McKee and Richard Gribben and in attack Paul Kennedy and Paudi Beagan.
