Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 13/06/2016


The Seniors had 2 games in the Mid Armagh Cup at the weekend, beating Middletown but lost to Pearse Og. Unfortunately we have had to withdraw from the competition and the game on Thursday against Madden won’t take place.  



The Reserves lost 2-17 to 0-14 away to Dromintee last Wednesday. Next game – Wednesday 15 June at Home to Grange @ 8pm.  



The Under 18s lost 1-07 to 4-14 at Home to Madden tonight. Next game – Monday 20 June Away to Tullysaran @ 730pm



The Under 16s had an away win over O’Doirnin Blues last weekend in the League. Next game – Thursday 16 June against Mullaghbawn @ 730pm in Newtown. They are also in Championship action on Sunday when they face Granemore in Newtown @ 6pm



The Under 14s had no game last week. They have a challenge game on Tuesday 14 June in Newtown against Oram @ 7pm.


UNDER 12.5

The Under 12.5s had an away win over Corrinshego on Saturday. They are scheduled to play Silverbridge this Saturday but we are awaiting confirmation of fixtures ahead of the Armagh game on Saturday. Training on Wednesday 6-7pm.



The Under 10s have a Home game on Wednesday 15 against Whitecross @ 645pm.



With the Armagh game on Saturday, training details for this weekend tbc.

P1-P2s - Training Thursday 6.30 - 7.30pm and Saturday morning 11 - 12.15pm.

Under 8 and 10 - Training Thursday night at 6.30 - 7.45 and Saturday morning 11-12.15pm.

Under 12 - Training continues on Thursday 6.30 - 7.45 and Saturday morning 11-12.15.


Under 14 - Match V Keady on Tuesday 14th June at home at 6.45pm. Under 14 county development in Sherrys field every Saturday at 10.45am.


Under 16 - Training continues Monday at 8.15.


Senior - No league fixture this week.


Hurl with Me - St Brenda's are running a Hurl with Me course for adults. The idea behind this initiative is to coach parents the basic skills to enable them to practice with their daughters. The tutor is Olive McGeown and continues this Thursday at 6.30pm - all parents are very welcome.


Well done - to our under 14 camog Nicole McBirney who came 3rd in her group in the All-Ireland feile skills competition. 


Good luck - to senior camogs Michelle McArdle, Hannagh McGeown and Eimear Smyth all part of the County team who take on Dublin in their opening championship game this Sunday 19th June at 2pm in Ballymacnab. All support appreciated.
