Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 14/03/2016

The Senior League Fixtures have been announced and sees us begin our League campaign on Sunday 10 April away to Crossmaglen. The full list of fixtures can be viewed: Senior Fixtures. In preparation for the season ahead, the first challenge game will be on Sunday 20 March at home against Augher @ 1230pm.

The Reserve League Fixtures have been announced and sees us begin our League campaign on Wednesday 13 April away to Madden. The full list of fixtures can be viewed: Reserve FixturesOur Reserve team have been invited to participate in the Boyle Cleary Belleek Tournament and will play O' Hanlon's on Tuesday 15 March @815pm. All players are asked to meet in Ballymacnab for 715pm. In preparation for the season ahead, they shall have a challenge game on Sunday 20 March at home against Augher @ 2pm.

Both teams are back up at training. League fixtures have not been released as of yet.

The Under 14s had a 5-13 to 1-05 win over Granemore in Round 1 of the Feile last Wednesday but unfortunately bowed out of the competition at the Quarter Final stage on Saturday when they came up against a very strong Killeavy side.

UNDER 6-12
Indoor training continues on Saturdays at Lisnally Leisure Centre. (U6-U8 2-3pm, U10-U12 3-4pm).
Membership for the year is now due and should be paid to the Club Register, Brendan McCone. Over 18 £20, Under 18 £10. All existing, lapsed and new members welcome. Paying your membership is an invaluable means of raising fund for the club. All players at all levels are reminded the importance of paying membership for insurance purposes and eligibility for the forthcoming competitive season.

W/c 14/03/16 Lucky numbers were 23-27-29-30. No winner. 1 Match 3: Nan Doyle. Next Draw – Monday 21/03/16 JACKPOT £9,400 (Rota: NBoyle & MMcGuigan).
The Monthly draw took place on Monday night & the winners were:
£500: Ann Loughran/Sally Rafferty
4x£100: Mark Keegan, Pascal Canavan, Dette Hughes, Berniece Fegan
The Annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on the 17th morning. All players/members are encouraged to take part in the parade and wear Club colours. All participates are asked to assemble at the Hall with the parade departing at 11am sharp for 1130am Mass in the Chapel. 

·    Brendan and Barni Maguire would like to express a massive thank you to the Ballymacnab community for their outstanding support at their Big Breakfast. £2,200 was raised, an amazing amount of money for a worthy charity. A special thank you also to Gerard and Declan Mc Clelland and the Hall Committee for all their help.
