Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 01/06/2015


The Seniors had a 6-10 to 0-08 win over Forkhill last Next game: Friday 5 June away to Wolfe Tones @ 8pm

The Granemore league fixture has been brought forward and shall now be played on Wednesday 10 June @ 8pm in Granemore

Details of the Second Round of the Senior Championship have been released and we shall face Annaghmore on Saturday 22 August@ 630pm in Pearse Og Park.

The Seniors are hosting a ‘Big Breakfast’ on Saturday 13 June in the Hall from 9am. All support greatly appreciated.


The Reserves had a 3-10 to 1-03 win over Mullaghbawn last week in the League. They have no game this week


The Leagues now take a break for exams and resume on Monday 15 June.

The squad were one of 48 teams who took part in a blitz in Newry, giving an excellent account of themselves by qualifying from their group only to be knocked out in the knockout stage.

Next game: Tullysaran at home on Saturday@ 4pm


Under 10s played Keady on Sunday morning and shall play Phelim Bradys (away) on Wednesday @ 7pm

The Clubs Monthly Draw is due to commence on Monday 8 June. Subscription £20 per month. Monthly prizes of £500 and 4x£100. Full payment of £240 entitles entry to one off draw for £500. To join, contact any committee member. Your continued support goes along well in the running of our Clubs.


Anyone who would be interested in participating in a First Aid course with a view of assisting one of the clubs teams on match day are asked to contact Kevin Gribben (07801108265). Anyone who already has a First Aid Certificate and would like to assist with one of the Clubs teams, please contact any committee member.


To celebrate the re-opening of Ballymacnab chapel on Sunday the 7th of June a parade will take place from McKenna’s Cross Roads at 2pm to the chapel. All clubs in the parish will be represented in the parade. It is hoped that we can get as many adult members in the parade as possible. Can people please let Nelius Boyle or Brendan McCone know if they are able to attend.


Tickets will be distributed next week when we receive our allocation.
