Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 20/06/2016 SENIORS No game last week or this week RESERVES The Reserves had a 1-20 to 0-05 win over Grange last Wednesday. Next game – Wednesday 22 June at Away to Derrynoose @ 715pm. UNDER 18 Unfortunately the Under 18s game against Tullysaran didn’t take place due to no referee available. Nextgame – Monday 27 June Home to Ballyhegan @ 730pm UNDER 16 The Under 16s had a win over O’Doirnin Blues in the League but unfortunately bowed out of the Championship to Granemore in Round 1 on Sunday. No game this week UNDER 14 No game last week or this week UNDER 12.5 The Under 12.5s had a Home win on Friday against Silverbridge. Training on Wednesday 6-7pm. UNDER 10 The Under 10s had a Home game last Wednesday against Whitecross. Next game – Thursday 23 June away to O’Hanlons @ 7pm. Training on Saturday 3-4pm. UNDER 6-8 Training on Saturday 3-4pm. RECYCLING Just a reminder to all that there is a re-cycling unit provided at the clubrooms and we would encourage everyone to make use of the facility as it contributes to the running costs of the football and camogie clubs. ST.BRENDA’S CAMOGIE CLUB P1-P2s - Training Thursday 6.30 -7.45pm and Saturday morning 11 - 12.15pm. Under 8 and 10 - Training Thursday night at 6.30 - 7.45 and Saturday morning 11-12.15pm. Under 12 - Training continues on Thursday 6.30 - 7.45 and Saturday morning 11-12.15. Under 12 match v St Brigids details to follow. Under 14 - Match V Tullysaran on Tuesday 21st June in Tullysaran at 7.30pm and Friday 24th June match v Blaney in Blaney at 7 o'clock. Under 14 county development in Sherrys field every Saturday at 10.45am. Under 16 - Training on Monday at 7.30pm. Match v St Brigids in Sherrys Field on Wednesday 22th at 7.30pm. Senior - St Brenda's host Keady on Wednesday 22th June at 7.30pm. Also Sunday 26th June away tie v Granemore time TBC. Hurl with Me - St Brenda's are running a Hurl with Me course for adults. The idea behind this initiative is to coach parents the basic skills to enable them to practice with their daughters. The tutor is Olive McGeown and continues this Thursday at 6.30pm - all parents are very welcome. Well done - to senior camogs Michelle McArdle, Hannagh McGeown, Eimear Smyth and Paula McGuigan all part of the County team and management who beat Dublin in their opening championship game. Under 6 camogs Catriona Black and Jodie McArdle had the important role of mascots for the game. St Brendas under 8 and 10 camogs entertained the spectators showing off their skills during a game at half-time. Many thanks to Mickey and Nelius and the Round Towers GFC for their help and for having the pitch in fantastic condition for the match.
