Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 25/07/2016



The Seniors lost 0-13 to 3-10 away to Maghery on Sunday. Next game – Sunday 31 July, Away to Pearse Og @2pm



Tonights Under 18 game with Keady was postponed. Next game – Monday 1 August, Away to Sarsfields @730pm



Under 16s face Keady away on Thursday @ 730pm in the first round of the Division 2B League.



League resumes on Tuesday 26 July, Away to St.Paul’s @ 730pm


UNDER 12.5

Training resumes on Wednesday 6-7pm, Sunday 10-11am



Training resumes on Wednesday 6-7pm. The Under 10s have been invited to a blitz on Saturday in Annaghmore. Full details to be forwarded to parents.



Training on Sunday 10-11am



The Annual Summer Camp will be held on 22-24 August. The Camp is for boys and girls from P3 (September 16) to current Under 16 players. The cost of the camp is £20 per child, £15 2nd/3rd child etc. Registration forms available via the Website

Under 16 - Game  against Blaney on Tuesday at 7pm.Players to meet at 6:15.Also on Friday U.16's against Granemore at 5:00pm.Players to meet at 4:15pm.


Senior - St Brenda's drew with Middletown on Monday in league game. Final score Nab 3:10 - 2:13 Middletown. 

St Brenda's begin senior championship season on 1st August against Middletown in Derrynoose at 7:30pm.


Well Done - to our under 14 players Nicole Mc Birney, Emer Hagan, Clodah Murphy, Emer Rafferty, Mairead O’Toole, Orla Hughes, Eve Mc Parland Clara Mc Ardle who have been selected for under 14 county panel.


Also huge well done to Armagh Senior Camog's including our own players Michelle McArdle, Eimear Smyth and Hannah McGeown who best Roscommon and are now top of the table championship group games. Good luck in All Ireland Semi Final. Further details to follow.


Hard Luck- to the members of the county under 16 team who where beat by Cavan on Sunday.


Summer Camp - St Brenda's and Round Towers Camogie and football summer camp 22nnd - 24th August, 10am - 2pm for girls and boys P3 (in sept) - under 16.Registration forms available at underage training.



There has been an ongoing request to get a walking group going in the area. So some community members have come together and have organised an event for Tuesday evening @730pm. Those interested are asked to meet at Ballymacnab Hall with the walk going around the Dam. Light refreshments in hall at the end of walk. Please pass on. You just have to turn up no commitment required!!!


Kevin and Bernadette Gribben are hosting a Coffee Morning in the Community Hall on Sunday 31 July, 930pm-1pm in aid of Southern Hospice. All donations welcome.


Lislea Community Association are holding a BBQ and gala night in Armagh City Hotel, on Saturday 30 July at 730pm.  This is to celebrate the home coming of Stevey McGeown, after his 2400 mile run around Ireland in 60 consecutive days.  Saturday is his last day, which will finish on the Mall at approx 330 pm. Tickets are £250 per table of 10, or £25 each.  They can be purchased from Paul Gordon 07545425636. All proceeds in aid of Autism. This is a wonderful achievement from mour former player and all support greatly appreciated.
