BALLYMACNAB ROUND TOWERS GFC Newsletter – 31/10/2016


The Under 21 recorded a 0-15 to 2-08 win over Wolfe Tones last Sunday. In a close encounter, our lads finished the strongest with an array of points from Oisin McGivern, Finnén Maguire and match winner Aodhan Toner. Their last game in the group stages is on Sunday away to Clan na Gael @ 2pm.


W/c 31/10/16 Lucky numbers were 5-7-17-28. No winner. Match 3s: Michelle O’Neill, Majella Crilly, Peter Donnelly, Lee Hannigan. Next Draw – Monday 07/11/16 JACKPOT £12,700 (Rota: MMcGivern & JMcKee). Monthly Promoters Prize: Mickey Beagan


The monthly Draw will take place on Tuesday 8 November. All sellers are asked to make their returns by then.



P5s - Under 12s - Training continues at Keady High School's 3G pitch on Tuesday 7-8pm.

Under 14 - Training continues Sundays 1-2pm.

Under 18 - St Brenda's secured a fine win in their first fixture against St Brigids on a scoreline of 4.09 to 1.05. Next game away fixture to Granemore at 12 O'clock next Sunday 06th November. Training Wednesday night at 6.30pm.

AGM - St Brenda's had a successful AGM on Thursday evening with the appointment of Paula McGuigan (chair), Barni Maguire (secretary) Ann Loughran (treasurer) and committee members Feena Hughes, Shauna Mone, Sally Rafferty, Michelle McArdle, Louise Loughran, Berniece Fegan and Joan Murphy.

Chistmas draw - St Brenda's are doing a Christmas draw, prizes include an oil voucher, a turkey, drinks hamper, meal for two, gift shop voucher, DVD player, four ball golf voucher. Tickets are £1 each or book of 6 for £5 and available from committee members. Draw takes place on 09th December.

Sympathies - St Brenda's Camogie club would like to offer our sympathy to the family of the late Lena Kelly (nee McCone) Aunt of former players Sally Rafferty, Pauline Smyth, Genevieve McCone and Anne Murphy.

Supporters jerseys - the camogie club are placing an order for supporters jerseys with MFC Sports. Orders will close on Wednesday 02nd November at 12 noon. This will be the only opportunity to order with guaranteed delivery before Christmas. For anyone who would like to order, the size guide with an image of the jersey will be posted to WhatsApp groups and our Facebook page as soon as it is available.
