Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 05/10/2015


Sunday will see our Reserves in action against Clann na  Gael @ 2pm in the Athletic Grounds in the Reserve League Final which will be played prior to the Senior County Final. We wish all the players and the management team of Neil McKee, Mickey McGivern and Paddy Murdoch the best of Good Luck and call on all our supporters to cheer on the lads.


The Under 21 Round Robin Championship was due to commence on 11th but with the Reserve Final on Sunday our first game will be on the 18th away to Wolfe Tones


Well done to all U10/U12 players in the Blitz on Saturday. A massive thanks to all who helped the day be a huge success.

A trip to Croke Park for the U8, 10s and 12s squads has been arranged for Saturday 18 October. The trip will include travel, tour of the stadium and meal. The cost of the trip is £15. For more details and to book a place contact Michael 07749541288.

The Lotto still provides a valuable income into the running of the Club. Recently we have lost a number of our regular sellers and in order to continue with this income we require much help. To assist this a meeting to discuss lotto promotion/sales will be held on Thursday 8th October at 8pm in the Clubrooms. All welcome!


The monthly Draw took place in the Clubrooms on Monday night and the winners were:

£500: Dermot Kennedy

4x£100: Pauric O’Neill, Shane Boyle, Stephen Kennedy, Josephine Gribben


The AGM is to be held on Thursday 12 November, more details to follow in the coming weeks.


Ballymacnab Hall is having their 'Clans & Townlands' table quiz on Friday 9th October at 8.30pm in Ballymacnab Hall. (Note change in date) (Maximum of 6 players per table - £5 per person). This is our 3rd year for the quiz and no doubt Brendan & Rita Gribben will be defending their Clans & Townlands Title & Cup.  We encourage Families/Neighbours/Local drama group etc  to take part in this great night out. Kevin and Bernadette Gribben would like to thank all who attended and made donations to their recent Coffee Morning. £395 was raised for the Southern Area Hospice.
