Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 06/06/2016

SENIORS

The Seniors lost at home to Harps last week, 0-17 to 0-15. The League now takes a break over the coming weeks with a Mid Division competition to take place. The first game is on Friday 10th away to Middletown @ 8pm & Sunday 12thHome to Pearse Og @ 2pm.

RESERVES

The Reserves bowed of the Championship last Wednesday evening away to Clan na Gael in the 1st Round on a scoreline 1-09 to 2-07. The League resumes on Wednesday 8th, Away to Dromintee @ 8pm

UNDER 18

No game this week due to exam break. The League resumes on Monday 13 June with a game in Ballymacnab v Naomh Eoin @ 730pm.

UNDER 16

The League resumes on Thursday 8 June with a game in Culloville v O'Doirnin Blues @ 715pm.

UNDER 14

The Under 14s game against Madden was postponded last week due to no ref. They have no game this week.

UNDER 12.5

The Under 12.5s had a 6-11 to 3-06 win over St.Michael’s on Saturday at Home. Training on Wednesday @ 6-7pm. Next Game – Away to Corrinshego on Saturday 11th @ 4pm.

UNDER 10

The Under 10s travelled to Tullysaran last week and this week host Phelim Brady’s at Home on Wednesday 8th @ 630pm. Txt details to follow. Training continues on Saturday @ 3pm.

UNDER 6-8

Training continues on Saturday @ 3pm.

LUCKY NUMBERS

FIELD SIGNS

We are currently offering businesses the opportunity to advertise through ‘Field signs’ around the playing pitch. Any businesses that would like to support the Club in this form should contact any Committee Member.

ST.BRENDA’S CAMOGIE CLUB

P1-P2s - Training Thursday 6.30 -7.30pm and Saturday morning 11 - 12.15pm.

Under 8 and 10 - Training Thursday night at 6.30. Blitz this Saturday meeting in Granemore at 9.45 am.

Under 12 - Training continues on Thursday 6.30 and Saturday morning time TBC.

Under 14 - Match V St Brigids in Sherrys Field Tuesday 07th June at 7pm. Training Wednesday 7.30 - 8.30pm. Under 14 county development in Sherrys field every Saturday at 10.45am.

Under 16 - Had a good win against Granemore on Friday night. Training continues Monday at 8.15.

Senior - St Brenda's continued their winning form with a win against Granemore on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-4. No league fixture this week.

Hurl with Me - St Brenda's are running a Hurl with Me course for adults. The idea behind this initiative is to coach parents the basic skills to enable them to practice with their daughters. The tutor is Olive McGeown and continues this Thursday at 6.30pm - all parents are very welcome.

Good Luck - to our under 14 camog Nicole McBirney who represents Armagh this weekend in the All -Ireland feile skills competition in Abbotstown Co Dublin.

Meet and Greet - The Armagh County Camogie Stars. On Thursday night after training our under 8s - 14s will go to Granemore to meet the Armagh County camogie team, watch them in training and chat with the players.

Hurl Smart Week - St Brenda's are taking part in the National Hurl Smart Week. The Camogie association have teamed up with ChildFund and the Dream Bike Initiative which provides bikes for young children in developing countries to enable them to get to school safely and play a huge role in stabilising their future so that they can achieve their dream. Therefore, the £1s collected at training this week will be used to purchase a bike for a child.
