BALLYMACNAB RES 0-10 ST.MICHAEL’S 0-05
The Reserves had
a 0-10 to 0-05 win over St.Michael’s, Newtown in the Final of the Boyle/Cleary
Belleek Tournament on Saturday evening. Played in difficult breezy conditions
Ballymacnab played with the aid of the breeze and lead 5 points to no score at
half time, Finnén Maguire, Aodhan Toner, Kieran Hughes, Conor Murdoch and
Brendan Gribben getting the scores. Ballymacnab continued their dominance in
the second half with pointed frees from Kieran Hughes and Aodhan Toner.
St.Michael’s now aided by the breeze got off the mark with a brace of points
but a point from Aodhan Toner ended the scoring on the night with Ballymacnab
winning by double figures. After the game the Belleek Chairperson Martin Smyth
presented the Boyle/Cleary Memorial Cup to Captain Richard Gribben.
