All at the Club and throughout the Community were saddened and shocked  at the recent tragic and untimely death of our esteemed Committee Member, former player and Chairperson, John Grugan. John played for the Club in the early 1990s and was part of the panels who won League Division IV in 1992 and reached the Junior Finals in 1993 & 1994. After his playing days John got very much involved in many aspects of Club life, especially coaching underage teams and Committee level. In 2008 he was elected Chairperson and held the post for 3 years. During this period he was the driving force in a major fundraising Club draw and provided great leadership and guidance throughout his term of office. He remained a committed Committee Member right up until his sad passing. The large attendance from present and past players, Committee and Club Members was a testament of how many lives John had touched within the Club and how he was held in such high esteem. His memory will live long in the lives of all Club members who share in the grief of his family and friends. We offer our deepest sympathy to his wife Aileen, children Shauna, Rory, Jack & Aoife and the entire Grugan and O’Toole families. A Mhuire na nGael guí ar a shon. Go raibh suaimhneas sioraí ar a anam dílis
