Scór na nÓg Tráth na gCeist will take place in the Athletic Grounds @6pm this Sunday. Four team members required (Please note that the final of the inter-provincial football competition will also take place in Athletic Grounds this Sunday).

Below are the details of the competition:
Eligibility and Progression 1. This competition is for
club teams of four (4) members. 2. One County quiz
(Divisional if county deems that fitting). 3. County Champions
advance to All Ireland Finals. 4. Teams shall be seated
at a table. 5. The Question Master
shall have one set of questions for all teams. 6. 10 Rounds of 10
Questions. 7. Questions to be
“inclusive” with 7 reasonable questions and 3 of Higher Standard in each round.
8. One round of questions
to be “as Gaeilge” and to be inclusive. 9. Rounds Rounds of
questions will be under the following headings: (a) Gaelic and Ladies Football
(b) Hurling and Camogie (c) Babhta amháin as Gaeilge ar imeachtaí Chumann
Lúthchleas Gael. Freagraí as Gaeilge amháin (d) Irish History (e) World History
(f) Irish Geography (g) Irish Current Affairs (h) World Current Affairs (i)
Irish Culture (j) General Knowledge. 10. Questions on Current
Affairs shall relate to a period of one year prior to the date of the Quiz. 11. GAA questions shall be
confined to a period of 20 years prior to the date of the Quiz. 12. The questions used
shall be the responsibility of the Organising Committee. 13. Questions shall be of
the type which will have a definite answer. 14. No part-questions
shall be asked and no half marks shall be awarded. 15. Beidh na ceisteanna as
Gaeilge ar imeachtaí Chumann Lúthchleas Gael i leith Scór na nÓg ó cúig bliana
aniar chuig an lá inniu. 16. Tiebreak. In the event
of a tie an additional round of questions, one from each category, shall be
asked. In the case of a further tie, the question master shall continue to ask
single questions until a winner is declared. Answers 17. Unless specified by
the question-master, a surname shall suffice for an answer requiring a person’s

a contestant offer an answer with an incorrect given/first name the answer
shall be deemed incorrect. General 18. The decision of the Question Master in the case of all answers given by the contestants shall be final. |
