Ballymacnab 0-08 Pearse Og 2-14

A below par performance from the Seniors saw them bow out of the Championship to favourites Pearse Og last Saturday evening at the Morgan Athletic Grounds. Despite a promising start in the opening ten minute which saw Rory Grugan lead the attack with three points to the same from the opposition. Pearse Og began to dominate the remainder of the half with seven points without reply before a Gavin McParland point brought his sides tally to four. By this stage the Ogs had added a goal and went in at the break leading 1-11 to 0-04. A more determent Ballymacnab came out for the second half and added scores from Rory Grugan, Paul Kennedy and Pauric Gribben but the city side responded quickly and eventually ran out comfortable winners. A disappointing result for the lads but hopefully they can bounce back with five league game remaining to maintain their Division I status.
