The Annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade in Ballymacnab was held on the 17th morning with the locals parading the short distance from Pairc na Gael to the Community Hall for 11:30 mass. St.Patrick himself lead the parade followed by the Joe McKelvey Pipe Band and representatives from St.Brenda’s Camogie Club and the Round Towers Football Club. A selection of local vintage cars and tractors also took their place in the parade, along with a number of strange characters in Fancy Dress! After the Blessing of the Shamrocks by Fr.Desmond Corrigan and Mass, the large attendants were entertained by the Smyth Family who played some Traditional Music. The local Ceílí Group also preformed some Set Dancing, while refreshments were served in the Coummuntiy Hall. Well Done to All who took part!
