It was with sadness for all at the Club to learn of the death of our former player Tom Savage (RIP). Tom played for the Club in the late 60s, mostly notably as a half forward in the 1969 Junior Final lost to Whitecross. In that final, Tom suffered a hand injury and was substituted. He was taken to the local City Hospital, had the injury 'bandaged up' and returned to the game, scoring 2 points! He kept a keen interest in the Club and was in attendance when the Seniors won the Intermediate Championship in 2006.
We offer our deepest sympathy to his wife Terry, son Anton and entire family circle.
