Ballymacnab Round Towers GFC Weekly Newsletter – 30/05/2016

SENIORS

The Seniors are back in action on Friday evening when Harps shall be the visitors to Pairc na Gael for commencement of Round 2 of the League. The game now has a 715pm throw in time, so please take note of time as may differ from tomorrow’s Irish News

RESERVES

The Reserves lost 2-16 to 2-13 in the League on Wednesday night. This Wednesday (1st) sees them in Championship action when they begin to defend their title with a Round 1 tie away to Clan na Gael @ 8pm. All support appreciated.

UNDER 18

No game due to exam break.

No game due to exam break.

UNDER 14

The Under 14s had no game last week. Next Game – Tuesday 31 May, Away to Madden @ 715pm.

UNDER 12.5

The Under 12.5s lost away to Carrickcruppen on Saturday. Next game – Saturday 4 June home to St.Michael’s @ 4pm. Training on Wednesday @ 7pm.

UNDER 10

This weeks Under 10s game away to Tullysaran has been brought forward to Tuesday 31 May @ 7pm. All players are asked to meet in Tullysaran @ 645pm.

UNDER 6-8

Training continues on Saturday @ 3pm.

MONTHLY DRAW

The new draw is due to commence in June. Anyone who wishes to join should contact any committee member. Monthly prizes plus one off ‘Early Bird’ prize for those who pay the £240 in full.

FIELD SIGNS

We are currently offering businesses the opportunity to advertise through ‘Field signs’ around the playing pitch. Any businesses that would like to support the Club in this form should contact any Committee Member.

ST.BRENDA’S CAMOGIE CLUB

P1-P2s - Our youngest camogs enjoyed a challenge game with Keady on Saturday morning displaying some great skills and determination. Training Thursday 6.30 - 7.30pm and Saturday morning 11 - 12.15pm.

Under 8 and 10 - Our under 8s also had a challenge with Keady and were also vey impressive Training continues on Thursday 6.30 - 7.45pm. This Saturday the 04th June is the first under 8 and 10 blitz details TBC.

 Under 12 - Training continues on Thursday 6.30 - 7.45 and Saturday morning 11 - 12.15pm

Under 14 - Match v Madden away Tuesday 31st May at half 6. Training Wednesday 7.30 - 8.30pm. Under 14 county development in Sherrys field every Saturday at 10.45am.

Senior - Next game is at home at 7.15pm against neighbours Granemore this Wednesday 1st June.

Hurl with Me - St Brenda's are running a Hurl with Me course for adults. The idea behind this initiative is to coach parents the basic skills to enable them to practice with their daughters. The tutor is Olive McGeown and continues this Thursday at 6.30pm - all parents are very welcome.

Congratulations - Well done to Ellie McKee and Michelle McArdle who represented St Brenda's in the county Poc Fada.
