BALLYMACNAB ROUND TOWERS GFC Newsletter – 14/08/17

SENIOR

Well done to the Seniors after their 2-16 to 1-09 win over Cullaville in Round 1 of the Championship on Friday evening. Jack Grugan and Pauric Gribben getting the goals in each half. They now face neighbours Granemore in Round 2, date and venue tbc but is scheduled for the weekend of 25 August.

RESERVES

Good luck to our Reserves when they face Maghery in the League Final on Friday in the Athletic Grounds @745pm


UNDER 18

Next game is in the Championship on 21st August when they face the Madden, in Madden

 

UNDER 16

The Under 16s have completed all their games after a defeat to Clan na Gael last Tuesday

 

UNDER 14

The Under 14s face Madden tomorrow in Newtown @ 730pm

 

UNDER 12.5

The Under 12.5s participated in a Blitz hosted by Culloville last Saturday and will take part in another in Derrynoose this Saturday. In preparation for this they shall play St.Paul’s in Ballymacnab on Wednesday  @715pm.

SUMMER CAMP

The Annual Summer camp will be held on Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd August, from 10am to 2pm each day. The camp is for children starting P3 in September to children at under 16. The cost of the 3 day camp is £20 for one child and £15 for each child after. There will be a cap of £50 per family. This will include intensive and enjoyable coaching, as well as merchandise on the final day. The children will need a packed lunch each day. If still not registered, please do so by completed a form (via the Webiste) and forward to your coach before next Monday.

ALL-IRELAND TICKETS RAFFLE

The are currently raffling 2 Cusack Stand Tickets for the All-Ireland Hurling Final + overnight Accommodation (Saturday night) and 2 Cusack Stand Tickets for the All-Ireland Football Final + overnight Accommodation (Saturday night).Tickets are priced at £5 or 3 for £10. Tickets are available Committee Members and Senior players

ST.BRENDA’S CAMOGIE CLUB

 

Under 6 - Our under 6s and 8s took part in the county blitz on Saturday past, playing against teams from Crossmaglen, Killeavey, Madden, Middletown, Tullysaran, Keady and Derrynoose. They played extremely well and the large turnout of parents and their coaches were very proud of the girls.

 

Under 8 and 10 -Training on Thursday 6.30 -7.45pm and Saturday morning 11-12pm.

 

Under 12 -Training Thursday evening 6.30 -7.45pm.On Sunday the under 12s are taking part in the An Riocht tournament, bus leaving from the pitch at 8.15am.

 

Under 14 - League fixture at home v Keady on Tuesday 15th August at 6.30pm. Training Wednesday 7.30 -8.30 and Saturday 12.15  -1.30pm.

 

Under 16 -Training continues on Wednesdays 7.30 -8.30pm and Saturday 12.15 - 1.30pm. Under 16s are also taking part in the An Riocht tournament on Sunday 20th August, bus leaving from the pitch at 8.15am.

 

Seniors - Good luck to our Senior camogs who face Granemore this Sunday at 2.30pm in Madden in their opening championship game.

 

Congratulations - to Ellie McKee and Cara Crilly members of the county under 16 team who have reached the All-Ireland final and also, St Brenda's senior camog Ciara Hayes who is part of the under 16 managemnt.

 

Birthday wishes - Sending a big happy birthday to joint president Seamus McKenna who celebrates his 86th birthday on 15th August from all in St Brenda's.

 

Well Done - to under 12 camog Orlaith Beagan who played at half time of the hurling semi-final between Cork and Waterford on Sunday past.

 

Summer Camp - This years summer camp takes place 21st - 23rd August, for P3 (September 2017) to current under 16 players. Cost is £20 per child, £15 for 2nd/3rd child up to a maximum of £50 per family. Registration forms available at underage training. Please return completed forms ASAP.
