Ballymacnab 4-07 Corrinshigo 4-07

In a highly entertaining game were both sides gave their all a draw seemed to be the fairest result.

Ryan Watters opened his sides account with two well taken points before Corrinshigo hit back a few points and a goal. Ballymacnab responded well with Caoimhín Rafferty setting up Eoin Crilly who’s pass across the front of goal saw Ryan Watters finish to the net. Indeed Ryan quickly followed with a point after some good play from Niall McKee and a pointed free from Niall saw Ballymacnab lead. Corrinshigo hit back with two more goals and could have had more only for excellent saves from 'Nab 'keeper Sean Eoin Curry. By the interval the visitors lead by four.

Corrinshigo dominated the early stages adding a goal and a point and lead by 8 mid way through the second half. However, the young 'Nab lads never gave up and a goal from Conor Lynch reduced the margin. Dara McArdle's inspired run and inch perfect pass to the on running Ryan Watters was fired home for his second goal. Now the lads were bursting with confidence and on the next attack Conor Lynch found himself one-on-one with the 'keeper but Conor held his nerve slotted the ball to the net to level the game. Niall McKee slotted over a long range point to put his side ahead but Corrinshigo responded with a point to level the game. The full time whistle blew shortly and although both sides held the advantage at different stages, both agreed a draw was the fairest result.
