Narrow victory for Granemore (10/06/15)

Our Seniors lost narrowly to near rivals Granemore in their last league outing last Wednesday.

Ballymacnab got off to a dream start when Pauric Gribben rose highest to flick home the first score of the game with a goal inside a minute. As both sides got to know one another, Jack Grugan kicked the 'Nab's second score with a point on the 9th minute. Granemore got off the mark with a close in free on the 12th minute and began to get a grip of the game, kicking 5 unaswered points to lead 0-6 to 1-1 at the break.

Jack Grugan levelled matters with two early points at the beginning of the half but the homeside hit a brace of points to lead by two again by the 40th minute. Rory Grugan exchanged a point with the opposition before a Jack Grugan goal put Ballymacnab back in the driving seat on the 45th minute. However this was short lived as Granemore hit 3 consecutive points and while a Brian McCone point on the 55th minute brought the scoreboard down to the minimum and equalising score could not be sourced against a stubborn defence.
