Ballymacnab continued their good start to the League with a home victory over Killeavy on Friday evening.

Jack Grugan got the first point of the game with a converted free after 3 minutes of play. With both defences on top scores were hard to come by with the next score coming on the 15 minute mark when Jack Grugan overturned a Killeavy attack and when faced one on one with the 'keeper he coolly slotted the ball to the net. Killeavy got off the mark with a brace of points soon after while a converted 45 meter kick from Brendan Toner extended the lead. A point for the opposition was cancelled out with a long range point from Gary McKee on the 28th minute and a minute later Jack Grugan got his second point to leave Ballymacnab leading 1-4 to 0-3 at the break.

Ballymacnab made an excellent start to the second half with points from Kieran Hughes and Jack Grugan and a goal from Gavin McParland on the 33rd minute. Killeavy responded with pointed frees but a third 'Nab goal from substitute Tony McKee left the game beyond doubt.

Another all round good team performance with everyone playing their part to secure the two points. The attention changes to the Championship this weekend when we will face Dromintee in the 1st Round in Crossmaglen @ 7pm. Best wishes to the players and management and all support greatly welcome.
